  2. On an initial pass, here are my thoughts...clearly as someone who has kids' names that are not quite common, I always lean towards the less used names. That being said, it's hard to have an idea of which cool sounding names are being overused all of a sudden or have become too common until you actually start taking your kids to the nursery at church, or mother's day out, or school, and you start to hear all of the other names that are out there these days. You're kind of in a name vacuum until you get your kid around all the other kids. To that end, and now being around a ton of other rugrats, there are some names on your list that there are now WAY too many of out there....

    GIRLS - Madison, Ella, Riley
BOYS - Kyle, Conner, Brendon, Carson, Caleb, Logan, Ethan, Dillon, Bryce

So steer clear of those especially or they will always have to have a last initial next to their name tag in class, because there will be multiple kids with their name.

  16. Does Sadie sound too much like a name for a dog?

  17. Conversely, Milo as a cat? I instantly thought of my favorite book as a child, The Phantom Tollbooth. That story was fascinating to me in fourth grade. Anyway, enough babbling, I have chapter 2 of my thesis to write! Warm Regards!

  19. mike & steph here....we are so excited for you guys!!!

    so here's my (steph's) vote....

    boys: fynn*, miles, grayson
    girls: sydney*, emma, ella, ellie

    *favorite!!

if you have 2 boys: fynn & miles
if you have 2 girls: sydney & emma
if you have 1 boy/1 girl: fynn & sydney

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE fynn!

i like it when people that have multiples go with two different types of names. when they go for 2 that sound the same or start with the same letter...i think that's too generic. =)
